The new book is here in an English and in Spanish version. It traces one word from the Proto-Indo-European language to its descendants in English, Spanish, and many more from Sanskrit and Dutch, Greek and Persian, and Italian and Ukrainian.

"What is Proto-Indo-European?" you may ask! Well, obviously, you need to buy this book. It is an language spoken six thousand years ago in the steppes of Eurasia. The people who spoke it migrated in all directions and brought with them their language which evolved into the Indo-European languages spoken today by nearly half of the planet.

This book follows the evolution of the ancient word ker-, which is the root of our words horn and corner and migraine and many more. Each book contains the etymology of 20+ words in English or Spanish, plus introductions to and examples from seven language families.

The illustrations are papercuts, with color added (oh là là).

Each book is available for $20. You can order it directly here or from me.

To order from me, add $10 for shipping per address. Paypal is davebuchen@yahoo.com, Venmo is @David-Buchen-2, and checks can be sent to 2005 Calle Las Violetas, San Juan, PR 00915-3536.
